1. Who we are
Dumb Monkey AI Academy is operated by Enterprise Monkey Pty Ltd (ABN 20600090337), headquartered in Australia. We provide our community website and mobile apps (the “Services”) worldwide.
2. What information we collect
We collect and store the following personal information when you create an account, purchase a membership or otherwise use the Services:
- Basic details – name, email address, display photo, organisation name and role
- Payment-related identifiers – tokens or references generated by Stripe, Apple App Store or Google Play (we never see full card numbers)
- Technical data – IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, time zone
- Tracking data – cookies, pixels and analytics from Google Tag Manager, GA4, Hotjar, Firebase and similar tools
- Usage data – course progress, page views, clicks, error logs
- Content – any posts, comments, messages or other material you upload
3. Why we use it
We process your information in order to:
- register your account and give you access to the community and courses;
- take payments and manage subscriptions;
- send service emails, legally-permitted marketing and personalised recommendations;
- analyse performance, fix problems and improve features;
- protect our rights, prevent fraud and comply with law.
Our lawful bases include contract performance, legitimate interests, consent (where required) and legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only when necessary with:
- Payment processors: Stripe, Apple Inc., Google LLC
- Service providers: Make (Integromat), HubSpot, analytics and advertising partners such as Google, Firebase, Meta and Hotjar
- Professional advisers and government authorities where the law requires
We do not sell personal information.
5. International transfers
All primary data are hosted on secure servers located in the United States. When data move across borders we rely on contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent protections.
6. Retention
Unless a longer period is required by law, we keep personal information for up to eight (8) years after your last interaction, then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Subject to local law you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data and to object to certain processing. You can delete your account and unsubscribe from emails at any time through your profile settings. We respond to verified requests within the time limits set by applicable privacy laws.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical and organisational measures such as encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor authentication for administrators and regular security reviews. No method is flawless, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. Children
The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced through the Services or by email.
